Minister: Preparations Finalized to Establish Bejrawiya Oil and Gas Spare-parts Factory

Minister of Petroleum Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz said efforts are ongoing to establish a factory for manufacturing spare parts for oil industry in the country. The Minister made the remarks during a visit to inspect initial stages for establishing the factory in Bejrawiya for manufacturing spare parts for oil and gas in the River Nile state.
He said the project, being implemented by Asawir Gas and Oil Company, is a real addition to oil industry in the country, underlining the need to complete the project on schedule.
The factory manager said they are planning to meet local needs and export surplus abroad.

    The minister also inspects oil pipelines from Al-Jaili to export terminals besides other oil infrastructures to ensure continuation of regular services, and highlighted the importance of upgrading oil facilities. He urged workers at these stations to redouble efforts to increase oil production during the forthcoming period. He said his visit aims to motivate personnel at oil stations to effectively contribute toward development of oil industry in the country. He said his ministry is determined to restore Sudan's oil glory and to make the country an oil exporting nation.

    The minister inspected ongoing work to establish several oil depots in the Red Sea which he described as the state's second biggest project.
Dr. Al-Jaz, who toured and inspected many oil facilities in the Red Sea state, also met with governor of the state Dr. Mohamed Tahir Eilla and discussed with him aspects of cooperation to improve oil export terminals.
