As part of efforts to follow up on oil exploration activities in new blocks, Oil Minister Awad Ahmed Al Jaz confirmed that his ministry is seeking to speed up oil exploration in the new blocks. He said the ministry will continue its support for oil companies.
At a meeting yesterday with a delegation from the Saudi Al-Qahtani oil group, the minister confirmed the completion of technical and administrative preparations for the commencement of oil exploration activities in Sudan.
Tariq Abdel Hadi, the chairman of the board of directors of the company, said they are optimistic over their exploration activities in their concessions in Sudan. He said his company is determined to enter the production stage to benefit from the Sudanese and the company.
The Al-Qahtani oil group has been working in oil exploration in Sudan for a long time and is a partner of Sudapet.
